physics
Not only is there just sheer physical and mental power in wrestling, there is a little physics that ties into it. A good stance means having your butt down and your head up. Center of mass is a point, not necessarily on the object, where an objects mass seems to be concentrated. Kind of like a balance point. You can calculate the center of mass by taking the sum of each mass times its position and divide by the sum of all the masses. The center of mass on a human is usually right under the belly button.
In wrestling, takedowns are how you score in the beginning rounds. And to take someone down, you have to extend there center of mass over their support base. Gravity will help make a torque, making it hard for them to stay on their feet and making it easier on you to take them down. And if while you are taking them down, your center of mass has to stay balanced, which means legs bent, butt down, and head up. While like that, you are much stronger than your opponent who is getting taken down.
